About University Arts and Collections

Michigan State University Arts and Collections supports units across campus that present significant artistic and intellectual collections and programs. Bringing together the Beal Botanical Garden and Campus Arboretum, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, the MSU Museum, and Wharton Center for Performing Arts within the academic portfolio of the Office of the Provost allows for these four key public-facing institutions to advance the kind of learning and discovery that characterizes a world-leading, proudly public research university in ways that serve both campus and the state of Michigan.

University Arts and Collections also drives several programs and initiatives to advance the arts on campus, including housing campus-wide arts strategy, Arts MSU, co-steering the Public Art on Campus Committee, and managing the university's Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation program.
